Gambia Network Operators Group (gmNOG)
About GMNOG
The Gambia Network Operators Group (gmNOG) is an informal organisation that
brings together all of Gambian's actors in the network engineering sector.
The main work of the organisation will be conducted through mailing list and in
the future face to face annual workshops shall be organised to share knowledge
within the community.
Discussion will focus on Internet operational and technical issues as described
in the charter of gmNOG.
Focus Areas
:
- Networking Infrastructure, This will include operation of enterprise, campus
and ISP networks, Internet exchange points, IPv6 deployment.
- Cyber Security, How to secure the country's network infrastructure
- Share best practices, experiences and case studies amongst
participants

Internet Governance, Helping business executives and government leaders
make good IT policy and strategy as well as effective regulation.
- To
catalyse new ideas, projects,and research in IT related areas
